As a Mother, Why I Choose Montessori?

The decision regarding a school for the children has to be made when the children are ready to attend schools after completing their preschool adventures. I consider this as the best situation to share my experience regarding the Montessori preschool. My son started attending the preschool in the age of three and a half and now he is about to complete the second year. There are many reasons that I have for choosing the Montessori preschool for my child.

My son had a fair amount of idea regarding the alphabets, colors, shapes, and numbers even before he started attending the preschool. This realization has given me a point to note that my son is brighter and active. When I thought about other preschools, the first thing that disturbed me was whether my son will get bored due to the same things that he knows about is being taught over and over again. This left me with the thought that it could make him feel bored about studies as a whole. This is the point where the Montessori preschool is far ahead of other preschools. The program is highly individualized to suit the level of understanding and ability of the child to learn things. This provides the children with newer challenges and knowledge every day.

The Montessori preschool program also allows the free growth of a child, both physically and mentally. The main advantage of this program in my opinion is that the path in which the learning progresses depends entirely on the ability of the student and nothing else. The program remains unique for each of the students. There option to learn more and new things everyday makes the children more motivated and eager about studies.

Another major advantage of the Montessori preschool program is that the students will get a good amount of information in all the fields including science, mathematics, languages, arts, and even the basic life skills. The way my son talks about different things and the way he behaves always makes me wonder how he managed to learn all these things. These are some of the main reasons why I recommend the Montessori preschool for all the children. The child centered approach on the learning is capable of providing the child with a strong foundation for the aspect of learning as well as the over all development of the child.
